You read the title of the post so you already know that what we are going to learn here, if you are still unaware then let me tell you again that through this post I’m going to explain you `how to show your photo with your site/blog link on Google’s Search Page...`

Well first of all let me tell this feature is best known as the `Google Authorship` it’s a new feature added to google search page, it got started after internet giant Google launched its own social networking site which is now famous as Google Plus or Google+. Here I will tell you `what is Google Authorship` in detail and also `How to get verified Google Authorship.`

What is Google Authorship

Google Authorship can be best explained as `linking of web content with the name of it’s author with his/her verified Google plus account.` and this is not for a decoration only, Getting a verified Author profile by Google is must for every Blogger or web author, reasons are more than enough, like it helps in Increase your pagerank, provides more effective seo for you and it also increases CTR (click through rate) in Adsense.

How to Get Google Authorship

For getting approved authorship you need some basic things which I’m sure you already have, these are..

• A google plus account with your photo as profile Pic.
• A blog or website (for which you write)

So you have these all, right ! great, so now we can actually proceed to the process of Getting Authorship by google, we will discus this process in steps so that you can get it easily and perfectly, so here we go..

Step : 1. First of all, You have to verify your email and complete google plus profile, to verify your profile just click here to see the `Content and Google+ profile linking page.`

Step : 2. Now go to your email box and check for new mail it will be there for sure, just open it and verify your profile.

Step : 3. Now Login to your Google+ account then open your Profile and click on `Edit Profile` option now it will show you many editing options you just scroll down and click on `Contributor to`, now in upper column give any label like My Website and in lower column fill your Website URL (note : if your site opens with www then give www before url else give direct url for ex : http://harkuchh.com) and click on Save.

Step : 4. Now go to your WordPress and Install and activate Google Plus Authorship Plugin, we can also do it manually by Editor but this is much easier way so I recommend to use it instead of coding.

Step : 5. We have almost done, now you go to Settings in WordPress and click on `Google Plus Author` after that paste your g+profile url in `Link Text` and finally click on Save changes.
